Wales Rugby - Gareth Thomas - 2005 Grand Slam photo - signed and framed
Out of stock
This superb colour photo of the team celebrating the 2005 Grand Slam is personally signed by Gareth in black marker. It is presented in a stunning black wood frame with dual mounts and an inset plaque, measuring in at an impressive 44cm by 42cm (approx). A super collectable from a Welsh rugby legend, Gareth Thomas.
Gareth "Alfie" Thomas is recognised worldwide as one of the best three-quarters in international rugby. He scored a Welsh record-equalling four tries in the match against Italy in 1999; one of only seven players to achieve that feat for his country. He also holds the record for the most international tries for his country, currently with 37 in 86 tests. He surpassed the record previously held by Ieuan Evans in 2004. Equally at home at Centre, it was from that position he scored the longest interception try ever seen at the Arms Park, a 90 metre dash against Australia in 1996. In 2005 he led Wales to their first Grand Slam in 27 years and captained the British Lions after the injury to Brian O'Driscoll .
